Employment Services

One of the services STC offers to its members is free employment referral -- free to the STC member and free to the company listing the job opening. Our goal is strictly to make our members aware of employment opportunities. These opportunities may be full time, part time, or contract work.

How Is This Done?

If you are an employer and want to submit a job announcement, fill out the job announcement form. Your job announcement will be:

Included in our chapter newsletter, which is sent to all chapter members, recent visitors, and to the newsletter editors of other STC chapters in Region 8.
Posted on our e-mail list, which is distributed daily to all Santa Barbara STC members. The Santa Barbara chapter also includes STC members in Ventura and San Luis Obispo counties.

If a Santa Barbara STC member is interested in your position, he/she will contact you directly. You have complete control over the selection process.

We do not screen applicants nor make any warrantees about their qualifications. However, being a member of STC indicates some dedication and commitment to ongoing development of technical writing skills.
